Elise Barron

Bachelor of Dietetics (University Pretoria) Masters in Nutrition (University Stellenbosch) Elise graduated as a dietitian from the University of Pretoria and went onto receive her Masters degree in Nutrition through the University of Stellenbosch. Elise has been working in private practice since 2000. She sees a wide range of patients however she has a keen interest in gastroenterology, eating disorders and nutrigenomics. Elise consults to corporate companies both on an individual and group basis. She is an accredited dietitian with both Discovery Vitality and DNAlysis Nutrigenomics. Elise belongs to numerous professional health associations. She has been interviewed for newspaper, magazine, radio and tv. She is a mother of 3 children and from her experiences and scientific research co-authored a book –Feeding Your Baby – a guide on how to feed infants and young children.  Elise was also a co-author on a guide on how to manage osteoporosis together with the Osteoporosis Foundation of South Africa. She strongly believes that “nothing tastes as good as healthy feels”.
